Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March the year 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer and former factory worker Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her siblings. Stone has a talent in the classroom as young children, began her second grade education at the age of five. In 1975, she graduated from Saegertown high school located in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). She also competed in Miss Pennsylvania. Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone and her aunt moved to New Jersey to New Jersey in order to pursue a career as a model in 1977. The two signed on with the Ford Modeling Agency after a couple of months. While in Europe, she was able to spend a whole year in Milano and Paris. But, Stone became disillusioned with the modeling scene in Europe and decided to take up acting while living there. Woody Allen's movie, "Stardust Memories", got mixed praise at the age of 20.
